The palace in Kotah

A bird’s-eye view of the palace; in front of the palace walls in the foreground a river flows past the city, in the lower right a man on an elephant, in the center for warriors on horseback, and in the left before the entrance gate warriors with shields; in the forecourt on the left is a group of visitors, separated by a row of elephants from dignitaries and seniors watching a fight between two elephants, also watched by the prince from a platform on the right; in the courtyard women are gathered around a throne with the monarch; the background consists of a dark sky over a hilly landscape. The depiction is pasted on a sheet, surrounded by a black framing line and around a double strip of paper in gray with a lilac framing line (inner strip) and lilac with a black framing line (outer strip).
