A woman sits on a porch, staring a bit sadly. Her friend, sitting in front of her, tries to comfort her. A woman like this, abandoned by her lover, is a well-known theme in nayikabheda literature, in which men and women are described and classified according to their behavior and experience in love. The depiction is pasted on a leaf with a narrow decorative border of gold on yellowed paper, trimmed with black framing lines; a piece pasted on top left.
