Portrait of the Shah Suleiman, the ruler of Isfahan

Shah Suleiman (1666-1694) is depicted up to the hips, half turned to the right, with a sword in his right hand and his left hand on his dagger stuck in the goldel. Page 47 in the ‘Witsen-Album’, with 49 Indian miniatures of monarchs. Above the portrait is a piece of paper pasted with the name in Persian. A piece of paper is pasted under the portrait with the name of Shah Abbas II in Portuguese, but the portrait represents Shah Suleiman.
