Portrait of Akbar, standing with plume in hand

The Greater Mughal Akbar is pictured here at an older age. He stands with his face in three-quarter profile to the right. Its yellow jama is decorated with purple flowers and orange ribbons for the closure. In his left hand he holds a feather plume decorated with precious stones, which is worn on the turban. His turban is tied up in the old-fashioned way. He, like all princes and gods, has a halo. The background is solid green. Around the scene a simple undecorated border in blue.
