Miniature portrait of Sultan Muhammad Adil Shah of Bijapur (1627-1656), in profile to the left against a sky-blue background, in an oval with gold trim and a frame of floral tendrils on white; frame lines in black. The portrait is supplemented on the reverse with a description in Dutch, the wooden panel on which it was pasted also has a Dutch description on the back.
