Mahavira as monk

On a long, narrow strip on the right is the god Mahavira in a temple; the left side contains text in Old Indian script in red and black, the top two and bottom four lines in a smaller script; verso more text in the same way; on either side a narrow blank column with a large red dot, which is also placed in the center of the strip and also on the reverse. Two-thirds text column on recto, one-third representation; verso: text; broad red brush line along text and representation, three red dots in the center of the strip and in narrow margins on the sides.
