A Hawk with a Crane

Miniature from the Deccan School with centrally a rectangle with plain background onto which is painted a hawk catching an outstretched crane. Top right a flowering sprig in blue and bottom right the outlines of an open flower in grey. Around this a decorative framework with various floral ornaments in bright colors. The largest part of this frame consists of a floral motif in honeycomb pattern bordered by a frame of vines and buds. The outer border is light green and has largely crumbled off.
